Jesus was the example of what a good church member is--Submissive to authority, meek, and gentle. The subtext being that God would be the judge, jury, and executioner for the people who rejected Jesus's example.

The religious service is the charitable service. Thsts what you're not getting.

Thrred no point because they already provide a service by nature of their existence as a place of worship. They are there to provide community and a place of worship for religious individuals. That is their purpose.

You may have a point there. Why we may even end up with MAGA preachers!

There is a difference believe it or not.

The way it is now, you can vote individually as a part of any church. Two people in the same church can vote for different candidates. Take away the exempt status and classify them as a business, and you get church sponsored candidates..

Which would be a disaster.
