Depends if the original staff are involved. Wasn't there a racism controversy surrounding them that kinda killed the idea a few years back? If that's not an issue and the original staff are back and they've got a good concept then I'd certainly be hyped. Otherwise, maybe not.

that was very overblown

now it was true they did not have many if any PoC ont he writing staff and that was not ok

but every thing else was legit just a joke in poor taste that the staff made during a live stream they quickly apologized for when it was pointed out to them

and nate still has a good relationship with netflix nimona was just a huge hit for the platform even

That's good to hear. I only heard about the controversy quite vaguely and only cared when most people concluded the movie proposal was effectively dead as a result, which I thought was quite a pity. After watching it I thought the series left just enough room for a movie to conclude things and I would like to see that.

the guys who made the lost city were hired by mattel studios to work on he-man and possibly a he-man universe/she-ra. i believe it'll be the next film they really push now that barbie has put them on the map.

It's going to happen.

Universal recently purchased Masters of the Universe. It stands to reason that She-Ra will get her own movie. Whether it's based off of the reboot or the original is anyone's guess though.

I've heard that show is really, really good

No, it won't be. The international market means appeasing places that are anti-LGBTQ. There might be a girl/girl kiss in a scene that gets cut from the international market or Universal might play it safe and just make her heterosexual like she was in the original cartoon.

If a gay scene gets cut, that might cause outrage in America. If there never was any lesbian content, no one can complain about censorship. It stinks how we knuckle under to bigotry like that. Maybe there will be a live action movie which doesn't say one way or another what Adora's orientation is, then a spinoff streaming series confirms that she likes women. Sadly, that's probably the best there is to hope for.
