Last year had 6 nominees, so I'm going with that again
Baldur's Gate 3 The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom (these 2 are shoe-ins and most likely to be the actual winner) Starfield (because its Xbox console exclusive) Spider-Man 2 (because its PS5 exclusive, if the game really sucks replace this with Final Fantasy 16) Hogwarts Legacy (not because it deserves it, but because its popular and the controversy around the game will bring in viewers) Street Fighter 6 (the dark horse nominee, I could also see this spot going to some indie game instead) --- We all live in a Yellow SUV! a Yellow SUV! ... I have no idea what Baldur's Gate is all about, but with how much buzz and love is surrounding it, I'd put my money on that winning.
Pretty much the same feeling I had with Elden Ring last year. Despite Armored Core 3 being the only FromSoft game I've ever played, there was so much acclaim around that game and people who normally didn't play FS/Souls games were playing it in droves and loving it.
