I can't picture jim in a jail cell, following commands from guards, not having access to the internet

I feel like even if he's found guilty on everything, he'll just be told to serve his sentence at a golf course or something and then be pardoned 2 months later

If, and that's still a HUGE if, he goes to jail he will be in rich person's one where it's basically a country club.

Pretty much. The elite have different rules and they will always stick together. I'm expecting a mistrial. One of the jurors will either be a secret chud, be bribed, or be intimidated mafia style.

I highly doubt he'll go to prison. Even if convicted to prison time he'll probably refuse to show up, and the secret service will probably refuse to stop protecting him. Democrats in Congress will try to make some law that says they have to, and Republicans will block it. And that'll basically be the end of it.

Yeah, that wont happen. Would make a martyr out of him.

I voted for him twice and even I can imagine it without any strenuous effort. How?

It's real simple. Trump goes to jail for his crimes, or it is blatantly obvious to all that the rich/corrupt are above the law.

The most likely reason for Trump to end up in jail is, in fact, the rest of the plutocracy may not be ready for that "big reveal" yet.

I can't see him winning over independents. While he has the GOP base in the bad be will need to not only get independents to vote for him but also low voter turn out from democrats. I just don't see ether of those things happening. Not with Trump.

He's a rich prominent Republican and the Feds are cowardly enablers. It really wouldn't be that surprising if Trump just went "nope" to his sentence. Republicans get away with so many crimes because the feds/dems/doj won't do anything about them.

Regular people are. But those kinda people would be sitting in jail awaiting trial right now, which he is not. Trump will just not show up to court for sentencing if convicted.

When the courts ordered that Andrew Jackson couldn't just go off and genocide the Native Americans, he said "they made their ruling now let them enforce it" and went and commited genocide on the Native Americans.

Society only works because we allow it. There's no force of nature causing people to obey laws or ruling. If Trump just says no and the Republicans back him. No one is gonna do shit.

Now that the cat is out of the bag and everyone has seen what a complete and utter failure of a president he was, Trump has shown that he is a master of getting people to turn out to vote against him. He got destroyed in 2020, the qanon loons he backed in the midterms were almost all soundly defeated, and he's in legal trouble up to that rat's nest he calls a hairdo.

The polish is officially off that turd, and the smell is getting more and more noticeable with each passing day.

There's no way in hell this argument would be applied by anyone to a D former president that was also a criminal.

It's completely absurd. The job of the secret service in relation to a former president is protecting them from assassins. That can be done for Trump more easily in supermax solitary confinement than at his FL pesthole.

This next presidential election has never been more clear that it's a slam dunk that Biden will be a one term president.

Whether or not that means Trump is going to be the nominee to defeat him in the general election remains to be seen, but it's a pretty good guess at this point and time.
