Is it good if you haven't watched wrestling outside of wrestlemania in the past 20 years?

Is it worth watching? Does it have anything particularly interesting? I used to watch wrestling almost religiously, but now I kinda only follow it casually, so I'm curious if it's something worthwhile.

Yep, just focuses in on the drama and needs of a local wrestling company led by Al Snow

Good enough for me. I watch a lot of Dark Side, and the episodes that have Al Snow in any capacity tend to particularly be a treat, because the way that guy's mind works is just fascinating. Thanks!

I legitimately forgot this was even a thing. I saw the trailer, thought it looked interesting, then forgot about it completely. When I first looked at the topic title, my mind immediately conflated it with "Heels," which I believe... Isn't even a Netflix show.

Thanks for the topic! Gonna check it out.

I finished it. Loved it. Shows how wrestlers can be such a different breed, especially at the lower level. Al Snow...what a dude. Very stern but caring father figure. Loved the last episode and how it shows he can still go despite not having wrestled for 10 or so years. Must've been cathartic to hear the crowd being so much behind him, even if it isn't as big as a WWE crowd.

I also liked how the show had a face turn from the new owner Matt Jones. The episode where he had a seizure was very surprising and it felt...a little too well timed? Idk. But that kinda being the turning point of him to a babyface and kinda seeing the business more from the wrestlers side was cool
