But modern Simpsons isn't just bad, it's like it's intentionally trying to be as unfunny as possible. Couple that with the flanderization of every character, jokes focusing mostly on references because that became a trend, and storylines that shifted from the core family and you get where we are now. Simpsons used to be a place where new writers would cut their teeth alongside seasoned veterans but it's mostly a hodgepodge of people struggling to find a good gig. It's still a good place for voice actors tho. They put on one of my friends who's now doing a shit ton of work.
