If PC and Nintendo ceased to exist, I would reluctantly go with PS5 because it at least has JRPGs like Atelier on it

It's a tough call. Better BC on Series X but better storage options on PS5.

Console exclusives are too subjective.

The BC goes as far back as the og Xbox.

XSX is really good about backwards compatibility, so it has a wider collection of games.

PS5 is better about upgrading your memory, for cheaper, too.

I personally prefer the PlayStation library, so PS5 gets my vote.

And? PC has no concept of backwards compatibility, thats just the default, decades of it in fact.

For OG Xbox games, I can emulate them easily enough if I wanted to.

But being able to play the handful of XB / 360 exclusives I might want to play (like Tenchu Z, which I sold to a friend along with my 360 Slim) is no reason to buy a $490 console. I could just go buy a 360 Slim for $170 for that.

The op is comparing just the two platforms.

That said I'd recommend a PC over both consoles this gen.

I typically prefer the PS controller for 2D stuff and the XB controller for 3D stuff, simply because I like the primary movement thing to be where my left thumb comfortably rests, but Ive been using the PS for Armored Core 6 too.
