Her parents travel around with her. But yes you're right. She can't really go anywhere in public anymore. She went to a friends wedding reception recently and there was a massive crowd outside of the venue.

Not to my knowledge but I am not super familiar with all the lyrics to all her songs so maybe? Doubt it though, her upbringing and parents basically paving her road to teen country music stardom with Benjamins has never been a secret.

This, unless she lied about coming from a poor background and monetized from it, there really isn't any reason to be angry about this. Am I envious of people who were able to grow up in a wealthy household? Yeah absolutely, but I don't hate them. The only thing that annoys me is when someone, who is clearly priveleged, say that their parents connection/money only helped them get a foot through the door when most peopel just have a hard time getting that foot just inches towards the door.

I think it's more that he grew up very privileged, which is not quite the same as your parents buying your career but he was a child star and you don't get that kind of opportunity as a normal person. At any rate, it seems if anything that he was less privileged starting out than Swift was and he had his "started from the bottom" cred questioned all the same so clearly it's not a gender bias issue in Swift's case

Taylor Swift is richer than most people in the history of the world. I think her legacy and wealth can handle a few people on a dying video game website making a joke about her probably not dirt poor upbringing

Swift isn't selling herself on her credibility as growing up poor. This is a narrative that sprung up in the last few years solely from people aiming to downplay her achievements as a pop star.

Nobody does this for singers like Ed Sheeran or Adam Levine.

Sure, but Swift is one of the biggest stars, maybe the single biggest. Obviously she's gonna get scrutinized more than Sheeran or Drake, she just flat out gets talked about more.

Thing is it's not just the wealth she grew up with. The personality, style, relationships and achievements of women pop stars are under a different lense than men.

There's always attempts do downplay them, question their competence, mentality or act like the success is unearned or due to external factors to a more extreme degree than male musicians.

I know people are going to say 'she makes all that money why should i feel bad for her' but that kind of life where you're mobbed constantly and have a hard time even going outside would be kind of miserable.

Thats a nice house but its not a mansion. Its also not indicative that she grew up super wealthy either. If were going by appearances that house looks upper-middle class.
