I dont know about that. My iPhone 14 charges really fast with USB C. Lightning worked pretty well, so I dont really know why it changed, but what can you do?

I still have an iphone XR so I don even know what all the fancy new plugs are. my phone still only takes 20-30 mins to charge from 10% to 100%

all I know is the airpod 2.0s I won at work last year better keep working for a long time

Yes it is. Both from a technical standpoint as well as durability. Lightning cables are the most fragile cables of all time. For my old iPad, I had to keep a backup lightning cable, so when the main one died in 3 months I could swap to the backup them order another backup.

Thank goodness some organization still looks out for consumers. I'm just happy when some of it blleds over into North America. Here in Canada we often fall between the EU and US on things. Too often 'better than the US' is seen as good enough when it's such a low bar.
