Thankfully so. Recreationally, too, which is the best. I had to pack up and move my home state to get to the modern era because theres no way they were going to get with the times. In fact, their big breakthrough law is that the cops can no longer enter a home without a warrant if they simply claim that they smell marijuana. No thanks.

Yes, but technically no because federal law supersedes it. Until the weed corporations get enough money and clout to buy off some lawmakers to change that, there will always be a chance they arbitrarily decide to enforce it.

Weed is decriminalized in our federal capital but very very very illegal in the rest of the country, though cops often don't care if it's under a couple ounces. I've smoked a joint behind the AFP (fedpol) building and the cop just said he had to walk around the block and if I was still there when he got back he'd confiscate it.

One particularly funny thing is that I can rip bongs outside parliament green (as long as there's no no-smoking signs and i'm carrying under 3g) and they can't say boo hoo, but if I'm holding a vape (even non-thc and non-nicotine) it's GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL for 2+ years.

No, but the police here don't care at all. A few old farmers that grow and smoke it on their porch here, it's very low populated and even getting caught with it in a rare traffic stop, if it's weed they let you go.

Unfortunately yes.

To be unfortunate it would have to negatively affect you in some way.

Its a prohibited drug in Western Australia because this country is highly inconsistent about whether it wants to be modern and progressive or old fashioned and authoritarian.

Something is definitely screwy when it's decrimmed and there's pill testing in ACT but no where else :/

I recall the ACT is one of the most progressive parts of the country (and in direct correlation one of the most politically educated).

Yes but with limitations (Canada):

Edibles can contain a maximum of 10mg per package. This includes beverages, candies, etc
You can only carry 1 oz (28 grams) at a time, so thats the sales limit.
You cannot smoke/eat/drink/vape/etc it in public. It's part and parcel to drinking in public, which is also illegal
Driving with ANY marijuana in your system is illegal and will get you a DUI, the same as drinking and driving

That sounds like some bullshit tbh. Very much could benefit all around from a "are you high now" test. Considering how long it stays in your system. If the same standard was used for alcohol, many perfectly sober people would get duis for alcohol

Yeah weed can stay in your system for over a month, need a better system than "You smoked weeks ago, here's a DUI"

Wouldn't work like it does for alcohol. Weed tolerance differs wildly and ramps up super quickly, eventually it gets to a point where you're not really "stoned" anymore and it's just kind of like... relaxing. Like.. I've driven just fine on oxy before (I quit years and years ago, it's OK, I don't do it anymore) and unless a cop knew what a junkie sounded like and you weren't on the nod, they had no idea.

I mean the same could be said of alcohol >.>

Not necessarily to the same extremes, obviously someone that's drank x amount is drunk and shouldn't drive one way or another, but an alcoholic vs an alcohol naive person at 3 beers or something isn't the same thing.

Best all around to just say if someone partakes they shouldn't drive, tolerance aside... but only if it's still affecting them. Not just "in their system".

At least until there are much, MUCH better tests that can take a person's tolerance into account or something. If that's even possible.
