A franchise about picking up anything and using it as a weapon ends up being about power suits explicitly designed to be weapons. Hmm.

Everyone trashed it for a while and then forgot about it. Games like that are kind of fun to randomly remember and laugh about after the initial disgust subsides. I feel similarly about DmC.

I loved the first 2, thought that 3 was okay, 4 was just abysmal though. I don't think I played it for more than an hour or two. Capcom makes some really questionable decisions at times

The first Dead Rising is the only one that needed to be made.

Capcom should've got the hint that the Dead Rising series was not gonna be their next cash cow when they started seeing diminishing sales with each new sequel to come out.

Fun fact: Dead Rising 4 got re-released. A definitive edition of sorts.
They included the DLC, then added Capcom character costumes and mini golf.

At this point I think they should re-release it again, just to see what kind of reaction it gets.

I remember when Saints Row went from moderately decent GTA clone, probably the only franchise to actually have a quality game based on the GTA idea, and then making everyone a superhero in the 4th one.

Anyway, I loved Dead Rising 1 and 2. Never played 3, but it looked like a real blast, a city instead of mall? Then I saw 4 and I didn't understand it, isn't it at the same mall as 1? Why?

I'd totally give 5 a shot though if they ever make it.

I want them to make Dead Rising 5 too.
I want it to bring Chuck Greene back, change his voice and rewrite his personality to be the same as DR4 Frank.
It takes place in Neo Fortune City. Perhaps Chuck's wife has returned to reveal she was conspiring alongside TK.

Chuck actually had a future after DR2 so it'd be extra funny to see them miss the mark like that.

Just make a new character. But make him ridiculously over the top. Jason Mantzoukas would be fucking insane as a Last Man On Earth type.

Dead Rising 5 needs to be a warped version of Chuck and then Dead Rising 6 needs to do the same for Nick.
We have to see how much worse it can all get.

I saw someone play dead rising 4 and that was more than enough for me. It's a series that started amazing and got a bit worse with every game in my mind.
