Didn't Mila Kunis lie about her age because she would've been too young to get the part otherwise? I can't remember the specifics and I don't particularly want 'Mila Kunis underage' in my search history.

I remember in interviews she said she lied about her age to get on the show. idk she was like "Surprise bitches! I'm actually 14 trololol" After they aired an episode, or if she just kept it a secret for a long ass time >_> still not a good look regardless

Tbf Danny Masterson's rape charges come from that time period of 2002-2004. So yea it's creepy.

Wilmer Valderinama (sp?) was definitely grooming underaged girls like Mandy Moore and Demi Lovato around that time too.

Bullshit this was 1998, people couldn't just slip under the radar like that anymore. Plus he distinctly said he knew she was 14 and wondered about legality.

I feel like there is a lot of nuance to this that is being entirely lost.

1. As a young actor was he supposed to basically refuse to be an actor and lose his job? He was put into a really shitty situation with the age gap on the show and as an 18 year old fresh actor I don't think anyone would have refused on moral grounds. Sounds like he even asked all THE ADULTS around him about the rules and laws and they told him it was fine.

2. Both Kutcher and Mila Kunis were trying to help their friend maybe get less jail time and give a character reference to the potential he had to be a good person and father. It is very common for people who have committed terrible crimes to have family and friends try to get a lesser sentence. It definitely makes them look like powerful people trying to game the system but it happens all the time with regular Joe Schmoe's as well.

I think their letters were poorly written, but I don't think they are horrifying people for trying to make a character reference for a friend.

He's a convicted serial rapist. Were they completely unaware of what was going on and someone told them their friend was in prison for some unknown reason? "He was my friend" is a really bad excuse to ask for leniency on rape.
