No it's not. Because men regularly struggle to date & maintain relationships due to not being funny, not being good looking, not being of a certain status, not being social, not being tall. All while society tends to be against them even more when it and struggling with mental issues because said society also downplays mental health when it comes to men.

This is all true. You could've made a topic about this instead of taking the extreme and rare example of that horrible woman, and making a topic about people like her being a major issue against men.

men and women both have unique and comparable issues which aren't always the same thing.

men absolutely don't generally have issues in dating though, the vast majority of men and women can find long term relationships if they want.

This is true, the problem is more of a significant minority. I think it's ~20% of men who are just outright isolated from the dating pool.

Men experience being ghosted more, insulted for having certain preferences on what they like/dislike, judged more as a whole. In current society, men are pressured to have a variety of things going for them. Which includes being tall, decent looking, being social, having good money, and more. Men need a variety of things to date and maintain a relationship. Statistically, men also struggle more because the other person can be ok with a guy who is okay, but go for someone else who is better(status, etc)

It's why many men get ghosted or flaked on. The other person simply found someone better as a whole. You can be normal as a guy, but the other person isn't content with that

Like seriously, I have no personal involvement or investment in body positivity anything, but we've all heard of that sort of thing for women for decades. Has anyone here even heard of it for men to anywhere the same frequency, if at all?

men that aren't tall or good looking or rich are incredibly likely to have long term relationships. 'ghosting' is something that can happen to either gender regardless of any other variables and isn't an issue in the slightest.

because women have always been judged much more harshly for their looks than men have. sure, people have personal standard which is fine. the incels that rage about not getting dates also have standards so the hypocrisy is super blatant, but in general women are more likely to date someone considered less attractive than themselves than men are. i definitely considered every woman i have dated more attractive than me for instance.

Plus, if you want straight men to get compliments more, you're more than welcome to start giving them yourself lol. You don't need to put that on women.

But the whole point is that women don't commonly do it. His actions have no bearing on that. He's simply saying that all else equal one gender is going to receive less attention from the opposite gender than the other.

There are various reasons for that but the point remains. Gender is absolutely a factor in dating obstacles.

People are able to feign intentions or hide their overall thoughts on a situation. If a manager in a customer service situation can keep their cool under pressure from an irate customer, someone can successfully manipulate a person in a relationship

i don't think it's easy for anyone, it's just true that both men and women generally end up in relationships. women are less likely to be the aggressor in approaching someone they are interested in than men. i have only been outright asked out by one woman after middle school, it's just a weird antiquated norm that men are the ones supposed to approach women first.

by far the most common way relationships start is just socializing with women via friends or hobbies/interests. if you naturally get to know women even a little bit and express interest your chances of dating a woman go up a huge amount over just asking out a stranger or using a dating app
