He got famous by peddling lies intended to portray transgender people as villains. And considering he's a psychologist, he's quite aware of the ramifications of that, including the discrimination and violence that such lies promote.

Logically though It all depends if they are choosing a domestic abuser then they're aren't necessarily making the right choice.

Exactly. People get caught up in his reasonable opinions and it some how normalizes all his really weird, polarizing ones to his fans. I think the same thing happens with people like Bench Appearo and Pim Tool.
