I loved Playstation starting with the PS2, but my ps3 and ps4 broke down. I bought a Xbox 360 to be early adopter to the next generation, and haven't had any problems with those consoles.
I do miss the platformers...

First Microsoft console was a 360. What an amazing, varied, entertainment system as well as console. It had a great library, controller, and Xbox Live/Online play was superior. Stayed with Microsoft since then, even if the XBOX one launch was a debacle.

Lotta RPGs on the Playstation. That's mostly what I play, so

360 was an amazing console and entertainment platform. I burned through 5 because of that damn ROD but I kept coming back for more.

These days I dont think I have a strong favorite. My ps5 is used more often but only because its newer than my series x.

Playstation because of the diverse video game catalog, same as Nintendo. Xbox always had better hardware on the console side of things but the overlap between that and PC has been so apparent forever it never felt necessary to buy one.

Better online, better controller, better media functions, and Game Pass. Playstation doesn't have nearly enough exclusives that I care about that much for me to consider switching.

i actually like both equally, ive leaned more towards xbox over the last few years because i missed out on playing a lot of their exclusive titles while i was gaming on playstation

im a huge fan of gamepass, not sure how sustainable it will be for the long term but i like how they include aaa titles, day one releases and games spanning all the way back their original console

Xbox has better analog stick designs.

I don't care for either at this point but late 00s Xbox Live walks it.
That was just a straight up fun time.

I liked the 360's interface better, it had Halo 3, even after they added parties, Xbox Live Parties were their own kind of comfy.
Plus the 360/Xbone controller is just about the best controller around.

Playstation has better games. I've owned every Playstation but I've never really had any desire to own an Xbox.

The only time I've ever been bummed about missing out on a game was Tales of Vesperia. Which eventually got ported to PS4.

This, on top of Microsoft's numerous first party failures have soured the idea of spending $500 on a box when the Playstation variant will cover my needs.

I play on Xbox because Sony is shit and they have always produced shit electronics not just consoles.

I have always thoughgt of them as a piss poor company.

I just prefer the controller tbh.

It changes, but is usually PlayStation. Depends on what game I'm playing or want to play and what my friends and family have or play on more at any given time.

PS5s dashboard fucking sucks though, ngl.

You always have? Maybe I was a kid wrong or something but I don't remember having strong negative opinions about different gaming companies back then. Or now, come to think of it.

I keep my PS4 back catalogue with the 5, and I far prefer the controller (possibly just familiarity, but it's a factor).

I always prefered Xbox. Never cared for Playstation at all tbh, but if you like Playstation that's cool.

I'm the opposite, not that it matters.

Horrible oversized clunky thing the Xbox brick, but like I said it doesn't matter. It's about what you like, it's your money and your console.

Playstation tends to have more of the kind of games I like than Xbox does. Mainly Japanese action games and JRPGs.

Back in the day when the first xbox came out it was the western fps halo console, which really just isn't the games I play. It's not the case anymore, I think, but I'm now an old man stuck in my ways.

Oh man, I love it. Especially the DS5. Almost like DS5 as much as I did GameCubes controller. (For clarification, I like the PS5 remote more now, I mean like how much I liked each at launch.)

I also like the Xbox remotes but not quite as much. But to each their own

Playstation cuz of ratchet and clank (ps2 and future series).

It's largely irrational at this point but I've been a Sony guy bc PS3 so clearly clowned on 360 and the trend continued with ps4 vs Xbone.

I recognize the disparity isn't nearly as large in the current gen but old habits die hard.

Bought a xbox because of Morrowind. Never looked back

I didn't get a PS til the PS3 and the PS4 always played second fiddle besides its exclusives.

PlayStation because they have better first party games by far, otherwise they are so similar but first party games give it a clear edge

I guess it's mostly that PlayStation has more games available to it that I prefer than Xbox does.

and the main reason why I went with PS5 over XSX this gen was because of TLoU, Spider-Man, and potentially a PlayStation exclusive From Software game.

I don't really have loyalty to a particular console. During 6th Gen, I had both a PS2 and Xbox. For 7th Gen I skipped the PS3 and only got a 360. For 8th Gen I skipped the Xbox One and only got a PS4. Now I skipped Xbox again. Not because I dislike the console, but because now I can get everything I need from Xbox on my PC. As soon as Sony stops forcing exclusivity with their console, I'll move to PC for their games too.

Xbox, because the vast majority of Playstation fans I've run into are people I'd rather not be associated with.

Also, I loved Halo back in the day and like Gamepass.
