Tbh even the Wan part felt like a huge retcon and made it too Good vs Evil instead of balance

That was one of my favorite parts of season 2. That and learning about Wan.

I loved the entire show. Even season 2. I honestly thought it was really well done.

I mean it's not like her uncle doing it was any better, there's a reason both people who love or hate Korra say s2 sucks

Thankfully it's so nonsensical that even people who watched the show have no idea what he means until I clicked on the topic and realized I'd blocked that part out.

Anyway I'm indifferent to that scene, it neither bothers me nor entertains me. There's another scene that I know others are going to defend, but goddamn if it isn't the worst:

Permanently severing the avatar state connections to the past lives.

I get it they wanted to nerf korra. But it's like missing the point of your own show and theme. It's like in order to "nerf" the matrix they have him unable to fly or stop bullets.

I don't see anything wrong with her becoming a giant spirit. She was just less bad-ass then Aang when he merged with a spirit fish. There can be reasons to complain about the show but that scene shouldn't be one of them.

Season 1 of Korra was actually pretty good. Although the villain was so bad-ass that it was a surprise she was able to win.

Season 2 was okay. The Avatar history stuff was kinda neat.

As the show goes on I liked it less. If Korra was a better main character the show would have been better received.

S1's big issue was the love triangle tbh, that aside it was really solid. Though Amon really felt like a series-long villain than a single-season one

It's an issue that Korra became a giant spirit on her own rather than merging with a powerful spirit. Additionally, when Aang did it, it was a complete blowout so you're meant to be in awe of the ocean spirit and the power of the Avatar. For Korra, it was just a DBZ laser fight that you were meant to be invested in. That kind of strips the mysticism and intrigue away.

It's also a problem that Jinora just kinda pulls Raava out of her butt out of nowhere. To this day, I am convinced they cut a scene where she meets Iroh and gets his teapot.

That said, I think Kuvira's mech jumped the shark a bit more than this.

Retcons aside I hated Wan as a character.

Dude was a lazy PoS that couldn't just hunt for his own food, tried to steal others which probably wasnt easier them the latter then became a guardian to the wildlife screwing people just trying to feed thesmevles.

They were so not out to just feed themselves. Clearly you missed the part where they were actively attacking spirits on sight. Even when those spirits did nothing to them.
