I think those terms were used 100 years ago on boats. Pretty sure they had 2nd class and 3rd class on the Titanic

But in modern times, it's not smart to imply some passengers are lower class

Honestly what happened to the majority of third class passengers on ships like the Titanic or Lusitania is probably why it fell out of favor. Makes the companies look bad and snobbish all at once.
