I don't have a problem with the idea of people owning guns for self defense, but I feel like we generally haven't shown that we're responsible enough to have them as a society. The law prevents their crimes. It doesn't prevent crimes from people who don't think they'll get caught, or those who don't care. Or in simpler terms: Laws won't eliminate it, but they may reduce it. Plus regulations and oversight do a lot in terms of prevention, especially when it comes to unsupervised idiots that didnt mean to cause harm. --- "Something's wrong! Before the shooting, Evangaline and the older girl were being punished that morning by Runions for not waking up the women and for eating Daniels food without permission, according to the warrant and a statement from Russell Johnson, district attorney general for Tennessees 9th Judicial District. Runions struck both girls with a sandal before forcing them to stand in different corners of the womens bedroom, authorities said the older girl told them. Sort of feel like the woman decided to kill the kid and then call it an accident.
