It was a TV show about twenty years ago.

it was good. I liked it, it mostly respected the game lore and characters. Kung Lao didnt have his hat and I dont think he ever had it. I justified that as the show being set before he gained his hat. It had some new characters but I liked them. Id like to see Siro and Taja in the games. No gore of course that I remember but there was a lot of fighting. My favourite character was Shang Tsung and Taja.

I havent seen it since it aired on TV twenty years ago so I dont know how it holds up now.

The weirdest thing was the final episode. I think they had to wrap up the show suddenly so Shao Kahn just kills everyone then roars in triumph. And thats how it ended.

I just finished it for the first time a month ago. Its hokey as all hell, but something kept me watching.

Taja is smoking hot and I couldnt put my finger on where I knew her from until the very end: Terminator 3

Also Kristanna Lohken (SP?) was in it as one of the main characters, also known for playing the Terminatrix from Terminator 3.

I guess thats all true too. But I enjoyed watching it, and it kept me tuning in wanting to watch more.

An actual terrible show would turn me off from watching a whole episode, and Id actively avoid watching further episodes.

And it was actually 25 years ago now.

And one of the main villains was the foreign exchange student from Summer School!

Back during the justin.tv days, I streamed all of the movies, cartoons, and Conquest for an entire weekend. People loved Conquest and most people, myself included, had never seen it before. Most or all the main female characters were Playboy models.

Yeah it was fun, just rewatched it all recently on Max. Vorpax still my fav.

I have it on DVD. I think it may be out of print now. The Kung Lao in Conquest is The Great Kung Lao. Liu Kang and the Kung Lao that you can play as in the game are descendents of him. That's why he doesn't have the hat.
