I'm turning 40 next year. My Asian genes are doing an ok job so far in making me look younger than my age, but I understand even that has it's limits and I'm looking at some options now.

I only use facial cleanser when I come back from work and use exfoliator once a week. Don't have a routine in the morning, just a cold shower and that's it.

I have an Aiken brand moisturiser but don't really use because it irritates my eyes after a while.

Don't use sunscreen, but I'm considering getting one now after everyone I talked to seem to use it.

Thinking of trying a serum, any recommendations?

American Psycho skin routine is terrible, but this was written during a time when skincare wasn't mainstream.

Turned 40 early this year. I don't have a routine. Never saw the point. If I start looking old then so be it.

I don't put any of that chemical shit on my face.

But I do avoid the sunlight as much as possible.

Lotion is as far as it goes for me. I get ashy every now and then after drying off post shower, lol. *Regular lotion use is probably mostly a black peeps thing since dry skin shows easier*

Having a big-ass bottle of jergens/sauve/whatever lotion that can last some months has been a thing for me as long as I can remember.

35 here.

I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion.

In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine.

I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

40 here once a week I use some exfoliant cream and coco butter lotion, but that's it really. I'm fairly dark skinned for my racial demographic so I don't burn as readily thus I don't bother with sunscreen unless I'm going to be outside all day.

I use coconut oil to moisturize after showering at night and after washing my face in the morning

Exfoliate twice per week
I use raw shea butter soap for my face and African black soap for the rest of my skin
For lotion I use Vaseline Cocoa Radiant and coconut oil for the extra dry parts
I also mix coconut oil, argon oil and tea tree oil in a bottle if I'm having issues with hyperpigmentation

42 here and my Wife just turned 40. I do nothing since I'm more concerned about my hair. It's not turning grey yet but it's thinning out faster. My Wife gets botox and has a complicated regime of washes and lotions.

Nothing in particular. I take care of myself in terms of hygenia, exercise regularly, and eat/drink mostly healthy. I use sunscreen when it's sunny and I'm outside for long. And I put a pH-neutral lotion on my face skin after showering in the morning.

That's it. No fancy, unnecessary expensive lotions or stuff.
