Bertrand Russell, followed closely by Noam Chomsky and then probably David Hume

Spinoza deserves my attention but hasn't gotten it yet.

i went down a rabbit whole of trying to derive a 3rd table of concepts. my theory is if people can derive 4 tables we will discover the principle for human freedom and emancipation. this is supported by modifications to Spinoza's philosophy through the removal of affect and a strong misreading of schoppy's fourfold root

Russell's prose alone seats him atop the list of most enjoyable to read philosophers imo. Dude could describe the process of grass growing and I'd be enthralled.

Haven't read a lot of modern philosophy and I'm not that familiar with those that share my views. I do at least respect most of those mentioned here. Though I have a hard time letting Camus off the hook for The Stranger that book is one of the bottom three I have ever read.

it's surpassingly hard to find cheap McLuhan books. Baudrillard is cool but I have no idea wtf he's saying most of the time lol. Hyperreality is a cool concept.

As far as Baudrillard goes, I hope this doesn't sound too pretentious, but you need to figure out how to "look past" the meaning, like you're focusing on the space behind an object looking through it. That is to say, it's best not to try and interpret the meaning of every single phrase but rather identify some key concepts you do understand and focusing on that.

As far as McLuhan, what have you had trouble finding? I haven't bought anything recently but I never ran into that issue.
