Ours was kind of dark and not that well lit. It was split into two sections, the main part with benches on the 'right' side, and then a 'pit' with tables that was off to the left side and where the stage was. There was also an AV balcony/booth on an upper floor but I'd never been there my whole time at the school, didn't even know how to get there. The balcony/booth was right above the canteen area which was along the right wall and top end of the room: there were two canteen rooms . They served junk food like fries and pizza; I always used to get coffee in the morning starting from grade 12. The lineup was enough to waste like 10-20 minutes of your lunch time. It was open from morning to the last lunch period, when there would only be one period left for the day. In the winter you weren't allowed inside if you weren't wearing the uniform sweater.

At both of my high schools, it was one big room with an area in the back for people to get food from. At my first high school, the school was so overcrowded that if you didn't get in line in the first 15 minutes or so, the line would be too long for you to get lunch before lunch ended.

We didnt have one. We ate outside on picnic tables and stuff
