I would like to think I'm good, but if I had incredible power I don't think I would resist making things go my way. Superheroes don't tend to like uplifting the status quo so... I guess I'm a supervillain, but, like, the type with good intentions.

The latent and suppressed angst would turn me into a villain.

If were talking Superman/Captain Marvel/Dr Manhattan kind of power level I would certainly be seen as a villain by at least a portion of the world because I would absolutely force change for the betterment of the planet.

If I ever realistically became a superhero, or even a Saiyan, I'd probably sit down and think about it for a really long time before doing anything >_>

There's so many ramifications and effects someone like that would have on the world.

That's an interesting take, but then again people who change the world can be heroic like Dr. Martin Luther King Junior, or evil like Adolf Hitler.

In fact I'd even say the individuals who make the biggest change impact tend to be evil, while good is most often achieved collectively by those who have tasted injustice acting as a movement.

By temperament, I am a sadist. I just also have empathy and care about right and wrong, so I only vent this urge on acceptable targets.

I'd be somewhere between Iron Man from the beginning of Iron Man 2 and Magneto from the end of First Class.

I'd be a villain that occasionally does nice things. Like I'd rob a bank but save a kitten from a tree otw home.

Im waaaay too lazy to be a super villain.

They have schemes and plans, and always have to be doing things and setting up organizations.

It sounds exhausting. Super heroes are reactionary.

I only have to show up when things go down. I would set up a gofundme and request donations saying I needed to set up somewhere safe and not be beholden to anyone. I would also accept purely anonymous donations to a Swiss account, if I know who you are for those I wont take the money.

Sounds like a pretty sweet gig.

I would be an anti-hero. I always get chaotic neutral on those D&D personality quizzes.

I would keep it to myself and avoid using my powers whenever possible because I just don't want that kind of attention.

My ideal set of super powers would include the ability to make people forget I ever existed.

I'd mostly be good but I won't be infallible.

I would try to do good things but would probably end up hated by millions, no matter what I did. Kill every terrorist? Well you got terrorist sympathizers on your back now and dumbass slippery slope people saying well if he kills terrorists what about x!!!

There are two problems with me being a Superhero:

1) Even if I have all the usual good intentions, protecting the innocent and such, I probably would be way too merciless to be seen as good.

There are simply way too many crimes where I think that resocialisation or a second chance is just a pipedream.

And this is 100% guaranteed. If I were able to judge others, I would say "fuck them" way too many times.

2) The second line is much worse and my own greed. Assuming I'm unstoppable Superman, what would stop me from robbing some bank? Stealing the money from some rich assholes, and use it as my own reward?

So, yeah, I'm confident to say that I would do a lot to improve the world. Cleaning plastic in the ocean, cleaning up with the terrorists in Ukraine, Iran, Syria, Africa and so on, and protecting the citizen here and there. There are more than enough problems to be solved, and people abusing others.

But that doesn't mean that my concept of instant karma and would be seen as moral enough by the majority (hell, even I know that it's wrong to be that impulsive), and it doesn't mean that I could resist my own greed or desires at all.

Honestly, it would depend a fair amount on what kind of powers I have, and early interactions with society after getting them. I think I am effectively "on the fence."

Mind you, if I go supervillain, it would not be to the point of "evil for sake of evil."

My answer lies in the eye of the beholder.

I'll probably be the revolving door type like namor.....one minute a hero, the next a villain. Just depends who I am helping or beefing with at the time, lol.

I would be some non powered superhero like Batman. Which makes me wonder if I had to pick a superhero I'm most like in personality who would it be. I think Reed Richards

The only way I could see myself becoming a villain would be if the government came after me or something, and I had to fight them off. I imagine that'd get me put on a list and make me a wanted person avoiding the law. Which I guess wouldn't necessarily be villainous, just not very heroic.
