But jan 6th was a peaceful protest somehow while they openly preen about being terrorists and wanting people dead

I dont get what they are aiming for here.

It's a variation on trying to own it.

They're saying 'look how ridiculous it is to label us normal Republicans as domestic terrorists'.

It would maybe work better if there weren't hundreds of examples of domestic terrorism being perpetrated by the right

GOP consistently holds the American people hostage, that's just how they vote on policy-- look it up. Their base is fueled by white man grievance, misogynists and performance actors grifting off the misogynists and white nationals.

Their biggest drugs they push are ideals such as gun ownership and dependency on fossil fuels, all while American guns are sold across our borders and Americans, by far--- not migrants--- bring actual drugs into the United States to prop up their "border crisis" boogey men year after year.

They are definitely a terrorist organization.

The media should be hammering them on this. This is newsworthy.

Oh the actual insurrectionists were prosecuted, 300 or so and counting. But I'm saying as far as Trump's indictments, yes that's difficult to actually criminally connect him to them without a recorded device or text blatantly directing all of it without the defense of "I wanted them to peacefully protest" or "I'm allowed to call people like my vice president cowards". He was impeached on it for improper misconduct and dereliction of his duty, but that's about as far as you can go with that unfortunately.

Yeah, I think that's part of the other indictments, conspiracy to defraud and interrupt an official proceeding.

Most had the defense that the president told them to go there and then you have the president saying to march peacefully to the capital and take back the country. But the oath keeper leader did have plans to bring guns to the event. The most others were charged with were things like trespassing, destruction of property and assaulting police. Again very fine line but there is still a line.

I want to say they were all planning an insurrection (even if we all see that one took place) and so does Jack Smith, but it's just not in the details.

This is about turning being a criminal or terrorist into being a good thing.

It refers to not only Jan 6 traitors. But also people who harass teachers.

And harass school children.

And harass immigrants.

And harass the non straight.

They want to encourage that.
