I've been seeing it suggested that the MAGA lawyers were what was keeping people from flipping. As in his toady MAGA lawyers were lying for their clients.

You're certain? We've had multiple instances of people basically throwing their lives away for turmpy boy. There are people willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that orange man stays in power.

I think what screwed him was going into politics at all.

Look at the structure of his organization. It's a syndicate. You can get away with a lot of graft and shadiness at the local level so long as you don't screw up the wrong people's money. He was a successful grifter/ "businessman".

But he got into politics & tried to fuck with an election. In multiple states. The system's really going to come after you for that.

Whether he wins or loses these cases depends entirely on the integrity of the jury. The evidence we know about is clear. We also know the societal pool.
