I was concerned that I had colorectal cancer and requested one. I don't have colorectal cancer.

Ive already had one, but Im about ready to be due for another. Its been about 5 years.

You're not allowed to preventative screen for colon cancer unless you're 45+. I've tried. They won't even sell you a cologuard.

I was having serious GI issues and a gastroenterologist recommended and performed it. It enabling them to diagnose me with Chrons and begin treating it. There is also a history of colon cancer in my family. The doctor is cute too.

It doesn't just find colorectal cancer. It also found my lymphoma. Get that shit done CE.
And you get a sweet propofol nap.

Yeah if you're at risk or having severe symptoms you can get one.

If you're a mid 30s guy that wants to screen because the news is constantly saying that younger people should screen, idk what they want us to do with that info. People under 45 are banned from screening.

They keep upping the age that you're supposed to get one. Also, several doctors that I've had have said they've never found anything through a colonoscopy that they didn't already have an idea that it was there through other ways.

I'm all for avoiding it unless a doctor says that I need it.

I had a friend from high school who didnt know he had colon cancer until it was stage 4. He died at 36.

My buddy gives me one every other weekend

I tried getting one because my grandfather got it at 30. Apparently that doesn't make me at any higher risk because it wasn't a parent or sibling so I have to wait til 45. Hope you're sure about that one docs.

Just tell your GP that runs in your family. It's not like they as for names and look into it.

As long as your insurance approves your doctor's request, there's no reason why you cant get one when you're younger.

As a Cancer survivor I get one every two years. Not a fun experience but a needed one.

A GP and 2 gastroenterologists. First degree relative is in the guidelines so doctors and insurance treat them as gospel.

One let me test for genes that cause it early and those were negative at least.

Might as well. Closest I can expect to a good pegging for awhile.
