This bugs me more than it should. But I do take pride in being able to cook and having variety in my mental recipe book. For several years now my friend has only ever cooked and eaten cassaroles (for dinner, + leftovers). But it's not even an actual recipe, it's just a random assortment of ingredients thrown in a cassarole pan, often with about a half brick of shredded cheese on top. On one hand, I commend him for not eating shit boxed food like so many other single men in their 30s do. But on the other hand, I wish he would learn to do more than cassaroles. Especially when he has company over. I have started turning down dinner invites from him now because he only knows how to make stuff like this: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/8/5/0/AAZUkRAAExoK.jpg https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/8/5/1/AAZUkRAAExoL.jpg ...
