i read almost all of those books

Never watched the show, but I read at least half a dozen of the books. Strangely, the only one I distinctly remember was the one where the girl thought her new next-door neighbor was a ghost, but the twist was that she was actually the ghost, who died in the house fire at the beginning of the book she thought was just a dream.

That was a good one and I think one of the best TV episodes too.

The book covers were so good. I wish they had some sort of artwork throughout the book.

All RL Stine books were banned at my school, so I didnt get to read almost any of them.

This is the first one I picked up due to the great cover. But I'm in the middle of a series read now, and this has been one of the worst books lol.

There have been a few fun moments during this reread, but I maintain that the best thing about this series is the covers.

Why wouldn't I? I've been obsessed with it at various points in my life, and am getting the Old Man mask as present when it gets restocked, x.x

Grew up on Goosebumps and Animorphs, I actually have all the original Animorphs books but most of my Goosebumps books got lost with time though I think my mom might still have some storage.

I think my first Goosebumps book was one where the cover had like some kind of mud monster or something coming out of the ground? I don't remember real well but I'm gonna see if I can't find it

I remember that one. The episode was pretty funny. Didn't read this book though.

Read some of the books and watch the show, but honestly the only thing that scared me and to this day still gives me the heebies jeebies is the intro. The music is just so creepy.

That book was kinda funny on my reread. The protagonists are bumbling villains.

I bought 15 goosebumps this summer, with the original covers.

Like I said, i'm getting the Old Man mask from II when it gets back in stock, >.< . My fiance is getting it for me as an anniversary gift.

When I was a kid I was impressed with the covers. There's something about them like it's taking you to that world. Also, some of the book covers looked like the ones from the 80's, those teen detective ones, but remixed with horror.

I've been to a couple of comic cons where the illustrator is there and has prints of various covers he's designed and you can have him sign them.

Never bought one but thought that was pretty cool

Damn, me too! The twist totally got me. It's the only time I actually felt something of a chill reading those books.

The books were great. The TV series was awful and watered down. Imagine having to tone down a series intended for children to read for children to watch. Several, if not all, of the show's endings were drastically different from the books as well.

I remember another book series that was written similarly to Goosebumps around the same time period, but I cannot remember what the series was called.

Loved Goosebumps as a kid. It's what first got me interested in both reading and horror.

I got a couple of those from the dollar store. They were 3 stories in one.

I was more of a fan of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, though I did like the Haunted Mask.

I even had the mask. I wish I still had, it, it was pretty cool.

It's crazy how incredibly creepy the books and the show were, even down to everything like the cover arts, the fonts, and the TV intro theme + visuals. R.L. Stine must have had his hand in everything before it got greenlit.

Loved that show. Dash X was such a cool and mysterious character. One of the best episodes I can remember had him recreate reality so that the town was a TV show and the main character was the only one aware that his life wasn't supposed to be a TV show, his family and friends were just actors, and then had to figure out a way to change everything back to normal.

I have a set of at least 50 of the books. My mom used to take me to a small local book shop and would buy the latest release. I can open like half of them and a bookmark from that store falls out. The store closed down though apparently :(

When I was a kid I had almost all the original series of Goosebump

I still vaguely remember the haunted school to this day, that one left a strong impression on me even after probably 20 years later especially with how it ended.
