It's a release Switch that I bought off a guy about 6 months after it came out, so I'm impressed it lasted this long with no issues. I started noticing a bit of drift playing Tears of the Kingdom - I was walking off sky islands, lol. Initially I thought I was just confused - although I mostly play it docked, so that's why I wasn't noting it consistently.

I made a manual for replacing the joysticks in Joy-Cons with 3 other guys in College a couple of years ago; we got 100% on it! I stand behind it; it was perfect, I'm happy I replaced it with a cheap part with no issues. It was still a little stressful, those ribbon cables are tiny!

I just bought new joycons. Because it was caused by my wife knocking the switch off the vanity. Oop.

Nice, I assume they still do that? I like repairing things, and I just had to buy a screwdriver and new joystick.

I can imagine Switch gear breaking pretty easily, and that'd probably actually break something internally.
