I'm trying to write a short story, and the internet is giving me conflicting or confusing answers, so maybe ya'll can weigh in. The character is putting a tool away carried in one of several pouches sewn to a long leather sash worn over the shoulder and across his chest, tucked at the opposite hip. The websight I looked at makes the distinction based on whether ammunition or grenades are stored on it on how you spell it, but that isn't useful.
