Most of my family believes that, I don't. The flood story is across multiple religions and clearly was true to some extent but not the whole world or the way the Christians say it happened. It's like a game of telephone that has gone across 100 generations so it gets exaggerated over time.

most of your family is extremely religious? what religion though? yeah i have read that as well , that at least a few religions have a flood story. Scientists have hypothesized that a huge flood did happen in around the middle east area where many religions originated from. But iirc the noah's ark story is scientifically impossible

According to MarioFanaticXV, it happened, and Noah took dinosaurs on the ark as well, and you'd know that dragons are dinosaurs if you looked at any historical records of dragons.

Tons of ways it could have happened like in the texts. Just because things are the way they are now, doesn't mean they were always that way.

As an example, the bible lists all these insanely long life spans early on, but they grow shorter and shorter, especially after noah's time. Perhaps initially humans and even most animals had far longer life spans but due to inbreeding that drastically reduced over time. Right now you can't sustain a species with only 2 animals, but who is to say that originally you could, they just wouldn't be as "perfect" and you ended up with what we have now eventually.

Do I personally believe that it happened that way? Not even a little bit, but I would not flat out state it's impossible for it to have. It sure isn't very likely, but there are tons of explanations that could be made for how it is possible.
