This specific thing happens so often. Dave Rubin, Jimmy Dore, Stephen Crowder, ect. What is it about failing hard at comedy that makes someone successful at conservative grifting?

The fact that 'conservative comedy' just doesn't work?

Rubin and Dore never were specifically conservative comedians though (I don't know if Crowder was when he very first started out or not).

This episode of Behind the Bastards has a clip of David Rubin's "comedy" stylings very early into it. There isn't anything political about it (Though you will feel the kind of second-hand embarrassment hearing him that you might feel while watching an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, only obviously not intentionally like with that show, so you have been warned).
