This Korean dude who was adopted by US citizens way back in the 80s but they never officially filled out paperwork for him to get his citizenship so now he's facing deportation. This is on top of the fact that the people who "adopted" him didn't want him anymore and threw him in foster care anyway, so he never stood a chance. He didn't even know he wasn't legally a US citizen until the events of the movie. Alicia vikander plays his wife who is pregnant with his kid. Really sad movie and ends on a huge downer. I'm too sad to make a joke about ICE breaking families apart it feels too real now ... Copied to Clipboard!
