US retail giant Target saw sales fall in-store and online for the first time in years after a backlash over its Pride Month offering.

Yeah, the reason Bud Light and Target are suffering so much is because people on both the left and the right are boycotting them, just for pretty much the opposite reasons.

One is doing it cause of their bigotry, the other is doing it because those companies eventually gave in to the bigots, who surprise, surprise didn't change their tune, so now they've hemorrhaged consumerism from both groups.

Very much so.

A lot of people solely crediting it to the terrorists winning aren't factoring in things like how BL was a major staple amongst gay bars which were pretty much the only safe havens the LGBTQ community had during the 80s & 90s, so it was actually a beer that community had in high demand.

And then of course there's the allies who are boycotting with the community. When the Christo-fascists were losing their shit over Mulvaney I intentionally bought more BL as a sign of support for sticking with Mulvaney. After they capitulated to the terrorists, I now make it a point not to buy any AB products, not just Bud Light like the foolish right-wingers who were still buying AB products because they apparently don't understand how mega corporations that distribute the same product under different names works.

I also refuse to patron Target for giving into the domestic terrorist bigots and Walgreens because they voluntarily chose to declare they'd stop carrying Mifepristone in the states where a bunch of red state AG's said they were going to try and ban it, and Walgreen's was all "that's dope, let us preemptively do it before we actually have to!" and here we are where no state has legally required it, yet they still took the "stand" they took and they deserve to suffer as a result.

It sucks because there's a Walgreens like 3 minutes away I used to frequent all the time, however I haven't stepped foot inside of one since.

Theres also the fact that everybody is being made poorer via capitalism and they have to be more careful with how they spend money.

One side lied about products and harassed Target and their employees.

Target then walked back on support thinking that would bring the people spreading lies and threats back.

It did not.

And the walking back alienated everybody else.
