I work from home most of the time, I usually go in once a week, but sometimes more, sometimes less. I also work like 60 miles from where I live, so sometimes it can take me over an hour to get to and from work. I prefer to stay home.

WFH is way better, I find it hard to believe anyone actually enjoys being in the office.

I will go against the grain and say I prefer to go into the office. I guess it just helps me compartmentalize life and work. Also when Im home like 24/7 I feel like I just become more and more insular and too deep into my own thoughts. I live alone which makes it a bit worse.

It does help that it takes me 10 minutes or so to drive to work. Id probably change my tune if I had an hour+ commute.

overall I understand why people like WFH and I would never be like all of you need to come back to the office!

Ideally I'd love to work from home, but with my current job I'd rather come into the office. Because, for whatever reason, they micromanage us like crazy if we work from home. Scrutinizing over every single thing we do and deciding whether or not we did enough work to justify the hours.

But if I'm in the office, I can literally sit here on my phone the whole day and no one bats an eye. Way less stressful

Yeah, fuck going to the office all the time. A waste of time and money. Going in one day a week annoys me enough, tbh.

Been work from home for a year and a half. First WFH job I've ever had. I do love it but sometimes miss the face to face interaction. It's easy work, too, so I'm usually bored. Not like other jobs I've had where there was a challenge.

I've applied to the local library and recently interviewed. Waiting on that. A former employer is wanting me back, too, so I'm contemplating that.

I definitely prefer being home, though there are times when I can do my job better in the office. I only have 2 screens at home vs. 4 in the office, and during peak busy times it's easier to do teamwork in the office.

People who want to rise through the ranks at their office are better off spending more time in the office. That's not me and I prefer to be alone, but a lot of information gets shared in passing or at the "water cooler."

I definitely prefer WFH. Im legally blind and cant drive, so when I had to go to an office that meant me feeling guilty about burdening family members with driving me to and picking me up from work.

Now, theyre trying to force people to go back in two days a week starting October 1, and you normally have to live at least 50 miles from the office to get accepted into the Telework Program, but Im trying to use my vision to get out of it, as without being able to drive, 15 miles May as well be 150.

I would say that used to be the case, but then everyone who didnt happen to be around missed all those conversations anyway. Since everyone was forced home, people developed new skills to where they were having those conversations in team chat on Microsoft Teams or whatever, and then nobody on the team missed out on them, so Id say communication was even better.

I am hybrid and absolutely prefer WFH. My coworkers are nice to talk to but it's so distracting, and I get so much less done in the office.

I have a DisplayPort KVM on my bedroom desk and a Thunderbolt dock connected to the second port, so I just plug a Thunderbolt cable into the work laptop and switch input. Its fine.

Also I suspect I'm actually an extrovert despite my severe shyness and social anxiety, so being around people feels comforting at times.

I've been working in a hospital for about 4 years now. My ex fiancee working from home exacerbated our problems to the point of the whole thing going to shit.

I couldn't sit in my god damn living room when I had a weekday off because she had to be in the phone.
