Funny thing about mugshots & fingerprints is that they're never deleted. Whether you're acquitted, convicted or the charges dropped, you're in the criminal justice books forever.

Oh, most definitely. But it will still be a major blow to Trump's ego. For the vast majority of Republicans, the fetishization of rebel / outlaw culture loses its luster once you yourself become an actual criminal. Hell, seeing his ugly mugshot plastered all over t-shirts and banners at his rallies might end up demoralizing him even further.

Trump will have about as much control over this as he had convincing his base that yes, the Covid vaccine is in fact a good thing. The cult he created is a runaway train at this point, and he has no actual power to steer it; he just happens to be going to the same direction 99% of the time.
