I'm a complete beginner to Baldurs Gate/DnD and I'm still creating my character. I really want to make as good a build as possible for a beginner. I've been looking up a lot of stuff and listening to a lot of videos on the game.
I think I have most of the absolute basics (advantage, proficiency, saving throw, ability check) down pretty good. A lot of things I've read so far say to make sure I pick a race with dark vision. I've also seen it suggested to pick a class with charisma to pass more checks during conversation and such? How important is this? Like if I played as an elf or half elf with high elf subclass should I be considering the friends cantrip? Or is that unnecessary Or a waste of a cantrip? I hope that's not a dumb question, there Is just so much I don't know. I'm really hoping to be a spellcaster of some sort. Like maybe a sorcerer, warlock or bard, although playing as a rogue sounds fun too and I've heard that they can be 1/3 casters? I don't know if that'd be too complicated for a beginner though with the subclasses and whatnot. Suggestions and advice maybe? >.> --- I do drawings and stuff https://www.fiverr.com/blueblitz ...
