I think it is Y'shtola without a doubt. She feels like the secondary leader of the group, and she's just very likeable overall.

Honorary mentions go to G'raha Tia (he was better as the Crystal Exarch though) and Estinien, even though neither of them joined particularly early, especially the latter who is still pretty new to the group all things considered. Five or six installments later and Y'shtola still reigns supreme.

Ive only played up until the end of shadowbringers, but IMO Y'shtola or Alphinaud. Or Tataru. Or Alisaie. Honestly all of them are decent

Alphinaud for his character progression, G'raha Tia for his adventurous side, tataru because she is the glue of the group with a lot of connections over the world.

Best is a broad category. Like, best at their job? That might be Tataru.

Or just like most popular? Cuz Y'shtola is going to win that one, for reasons that escape me. She wasn't particularly interesting until mid-Shadowbringers, and even now she doesn't have much of an arc.

Estinien is probably my favorite of the current lineup, though. Then maybe Urianger?

Alphinaud and it's not even close

He's probably the best FF14 character in general because he goes through so much development and you can really see him grow as a person and a leader over the course of every expansion

I barely even think about Tataru in regards to the Scions since she barely does anything on the field. Also Minfilia, for obvious reasons.

I picked Estinien for the 'bedroom scene' in Endwalker as he's clearly the coolest.

Tataru is a sweet bean though and would be my second choice.

Probably Alphinaud. His progression over the expansions has been top tier.

I'd actually rank Y'shtola at the bottom as she's probably the scion that's grown over the years.

I like Urianger because he's constantly forced to be the shady one of the group but it's clear that he's too nice for that role to not affect him emotionally over time.
