They're sitting out there shooting off these insanely illegal professional grade fireworks, and it sounds like there's a literal shootout out there. On top of that They all have bikes and they're just sitting there revving them, as loud as they fucking can.

Earlier in the day some jackass had his bass out in the middle of the street setup with a full fucking stack playing the same note so loud that I could literally feel it 5 houses down.

Normally I would just drown it out, but my sister's poor month old son is trying to sleep. He's already sensitive to loud noise, so these fucking morons waking him up every 10 minutes is really not helping. ;_;

It was a pretty quiet neighborhood until these idiots moved in. It's always been just old people and younger people who are raising families. Occasionally we'll get someone stupid, but this is like a group of sketchy 30 year old frat boys.

If they're this uncaring or downright sociopathic about other people, there's very little chance they can actually be reasoned with and a near 100% chance that they'll now associate every police call or other complaint made about them to be attributable to you, and will retaliate.

Yup. Neighbor was a fuckin psycho. Would light fireworks at midnight drunk and or high sitting in his backyard in just his underwear. Then very poorly lie that it was someone else. Not sure if thought I'd believe him or it was so intentionally a poor lie it was to see if I'd call him on it.

People like that can't be reasoned with. He was even cussing the cops out when they came.

How could you possibly know this without talking to them first? Very little chance? Bullshit. Making such assumptions about your neighbors is surely one way to fray community bonds with each other. With that being said, what are the odds they'll associate every police call or complaint with someone who actually called the cops on them? Higher or lower than the odds that they'll associate every complaint with the person who actually showed a backbone and asked them face-to-face about quieting down? The answer is obvious, of course.

Call the police if you've exhausted every other option, but having police in your neighborhood is bad, actually.

This is a problem in itself... going out to talk to them can make you, your property, or your family a target of especially bad neighbors.You may find your property stolen or vandalized if you get out front and center. They will be able to see when you and your family are home know your routine... if it comes down to that.

Place your safety above all else. Maybe talk to other neighbors first and see if they feel the same way. Get a feel for the level of possible retaliation. Call the cops and ask for anonymity if you feel there is a genuine threat to safety. You probably can't get them to leave, but knowing the cops are alerted to their shitty behavior can cause them to reel in some of the most blatant and harmful.

I don't know why this topic keeps getting bumped, but I would like to point out all those shootings that happened not too long ago for things like people knocking on someone's door, honking their hornn, kid losing their ball in a neighbors yard, and so on.

While I don't really think that it likely to happen to me for going over and talking to them about their music, they're also not the kinda people I wanna go piss off.

Also, they moved onto a block full of families with young children. There's literally like a dozen kids running up and down the street on any given day. If they're really stupid enough to think they can move in and just start blasting music and firing off fireworks late at night, or race eachother around the block on their bikes, they have another thing coming.

Not the smartest decision on their end imo.

But they are such good people! Super friendly nice people that care about their neighbors.

I'm sure of you go outside and beg them to please stop they will cry and apologize

Most places also have anonymous tiplines. Either that or some cities even have an online tip receiving capability.

In any event, in no way do you want your face or property associated with this type of complaint. But make the complaint.

Even still, just call the cops in this situation. Let them handle it. They know they're being loud and need an official authority figure to tell them it's not okay. The thing about calling the cops instead of talking to the neighbor is if things go okay talking to them and they end up doing it again then you become the target. Let the cops handle the disturbances. If theyre inconsiderate enough to make all that noise they know what theyre doing and dont care.
