I found a stick outside a well in Lurelin Village while I was about to do that quest. I combined it with a black bokoblin horn and it made a pretty good weapon. I even used it to kill a frost talus for a different shrine quest I had. Any other good spots like that? The one thing I miss about BOTW is all the ancient weapons I used to get.

What I did was look for undecayed Gerudo weapons on those odd ghost altars in the depths. The have the standard possible bonuses, like increased durability or attack power, but all of them also have the ability to double the attack bonuses of whatever you fuse to them.

With those and horns from Silver Lynels, I mostly have weapons that have range from 119 attack to 145 attack.

A good tip for undecayed/pristine weapons is that you have to pick up and use the decayed version until it breaks before they spawn in the Depths.

That said, there's a quest in Gerudo Desert that unlocks an underground worship chamber of sorts that has all the Gerudo weapons down there.
