Current Events > I beat Zelda Seasons to Ages and Ages to Seasons back to back. Heres my thoughts

tl;dr: Seasons -> Ages is better >_>

Seasons -> Ages Pros:
-Dungeon difficulty progression is better
-You get to rescue Zelda by literally doing a DK arcade recreation (Ages -> Seasons just has you fight a generic Moblin mob that takes 2 seconds)
-You get to 100% the map in Ages this way (you can't do it if Ages is played first)
-You get the Swimmer's Ring which helps A LOT with Mermaid's Cave and Jabu Jabu's Belly, and you get a health regen ring. The Ages -> Seasons exclusive rings aren't nearly as good.
-You deal with all the Ages bullshit like Rolling Ridge part 2 and Jabu Jabu's Belly much later on instead of earlier lol

Ages -> Seasons Pros:
-Combat difficulty progression is better and the powered up sword helps
-The side story in Linked Seasons is much better than the side story in Linked Ages (though it's only like 5 lines of dialogue lol)
-Get to skip the tutorial dungeon in Seasons this way. You can't ever skip the tutorial dungeon in Ages no matter how you play it.
-Seasons' Hero's Cave is more fun than Ages' Hero's Cave
-Nayru is hotter than Din and you only get to see Nayru on your save file select and in the game world post-game if Ages is played first >_>

Everyone should experience both at some point in their lives just to see the differences, but 1st timers should definitely do Seasons -> Ages first. It's more enjoyable than Ages -> Seasons

I've never played either game. But really should get around to it some day...That is a neat gaming concept the two games are related and influence each other in that way.

Linked Ages also has a lot of weird typos and errors, notably "Knox" instead of Onox

I loved Seasons way more

Ages has some of the most macro-complex Dungeons of the entire series.

I think Ages has the better story, and I like how Veran is directly involved as the game progresses.
Onox just captures Din and sits in his castle until you show up.

On the other hand, Seasons is overall more polished, has better items(slingshot, magic boomerang, roc's cape, etc), and a better linked game (sans Zelda DK rescue)

I got 100% on these back in 2018 or so and it wasn't too bad. Since you need to play both ways, I believe I went Seasons > Linked Ages > Hero Ages > Linked Hero Seasons. I did half on GBA and the other half on 3DS VC version. I abused the hell out of savestates for Goron Dancing lol.

I love how you can use the original Hero Secret you got and then the Ring Secret from when you finally get all of the rings to bring them into later playthroughs, so I always do that now. Why not? I earned them lol. I love these games.

It's annoying but I don't think it's that bad >_> Subrosian Dance definitely beats it every time though.

Just getting the Goron Emblem and Mermaid Key isn't too bad

They're certainly more fun to mess around with

Ages items are mostly useless outside of specific situations. Particularly the Cane of Somaria and the Power Glove. The Switch Hook and Mermaid Suit aren't as fun to use as the Magic Boomerang or Roc's Cape.

The Magnetic Gloves are tricky, but still fun once you get the hang of them.

The Seed Shooter is okay, and the ricochet can be fun to take advantage of, but the Slingshots are overall better

Even the official player's guide lists Seasons first lol. They know
