This game scarier than TES games and you get guns and shit. And guns and shit are so fucking weak, must be because I didn't put any points in them. I'm gonna go full personality, sneak and hacker. Just got to Megaton. Wish me luck in the Wasteland. Holy shit it sucks not being able to zooming around like I could in TES games.

Saying that you want to be sneaky in Fallout 3 without going through Operation: Anchorage and getting the stealth suit is like saying you want to take a vacation to the Bahamas but never go outside.

Plus the stealth suit makes the game piss-easy, so there's some extra motivation.

Guns early game are trash cause they're literally. 22s and airsoft guns

It's always kinda fun how you start out struggling to get by with whatever you find and have to make every shot count, then by the end you're just one-shotting almost everything with crit headshots from the Backwater rifle and you have enough caps and ammo to fill a football stadium.

don't do any of the DLC first on your first playthrough. that just doesn't make any sense. if it's not your first time playing, then ok. otherwise that's just stupid, why ruin the experience.

I'll be sneaky without it, I'm sure I'll be fine.

I just remembered that I hardly ever used power armor in Fallout 3.
I think it's because I felt like I was Generic Video Game Hero #33105 whenever I was wearing power armor.
My playing style also leaned more on sniping from afar and letting my companions engage the enemy. Heavy armor was not necessary when I was not (the one) getting shot at.

Me neither, same with NV. Fallout 4 got plenty of things wrong, but its take on PA was right on the money imo - it finally felt like an eventful upgrade / lateral playstyle, as opposed to just 'weird looking tin can with slightly higher numbers.'

uh oh :(.

i followed a guide myself when to do which DLC.
if planning to do them all save the zeta dlc for last it has alot of issues.

Be sure to take your time and read various journals on computer/terminals.
Not going to give you any special perks or exp, but they add so much background/emotional impact for the world.

Or get it out the way early, or just avoid it entirely. Loot's pretty nice though, and all those tubes of alien epoxy sure are helpful.

Reminds me a funny moment in Fallout 4 when I sent Piper to flush out a raider named Boomer, and she ended up bringing him right back to me (at least unarmed).

You should try the superhero armor based from an ant. You guys and making me want to reminisce about Fallout near Starfield's release date. I see ya.

The terminal outside the Germantown Police HQ (aka where you go to save Red during 'Big Trouble in Big Town') has a particularly bleak and poignant story.

I just wanna hack things and sneak kill. It's working out okay right now.

Haven't ran into any Ghouls yet. Ran into a hostile Enclave Solider, though. I ran away from him.

It's basically an infinite Stealth Boy that activates whenever you crouch.

Operation anchorage dlc... I swear, that dlc was created just as an official "i win" mod for console players without access to unofficial mods.

Infinite stealth? Check
Overpowered sniper rifle? Check

Otherwise, probably the least interesting DLC.

Isn't the power armor also unbreakable? I think it's bug tho

Stealth approach is also my favorite. Small weapons is a must. I dont mess with melee in stealth builds or unarmed.

I know there's a famous exploit that lets you walk away with an unbreakable Gauss Rifle and whatever other gear you had in your inventory when the simulation ends.

I just looked it up on the wiki, and apparently the Winterized T-51 PA you get normally is flagged as the 'sim' version instead of the proper 'wasteland' version, so it's technically unbreakable as well.

Now compare this to something like Skyrim, where the vast, vast majority of 'unique' weapons and apparel have enchantments that are so underpowered / uninspired that they're hardly worth the effort (even without factoring in self-enchanted gear).

Such a great game, pretty janky but there's so much to do. Don't worry too much about going out to get specific gear, you'll find good stuff as you explore and get stronger as you level up. One of the best games ever for just randomly exploring and wandering around.

I'm not sure if I'm just weak as fuck but the fire breathing ants and those mirelurks are super tanky as fuck. Can't do shit to them. Everything else such as Raiders, Super Mutants, Mole Rats, Vicious Dogs have been ggez.

Keep your distance from the fire-breathing ants and plug them in the head with accurate and powerfrul weapons.
Mirelurks are tough, but their face is the weak spot. Strike it hard and often. Alternatively, use a flamer to cut through its armor.
