Some dude brought up Sunny D in the wrestling board. Well I assume he was a dude. Anywho I have been wanting some ever since. Back in the before times I could just run up and get some now. It is 1 my time.

My insistence on calling it Sunny Delight is the most boomer thing about me.

My brother and I had the greatest munchies runs at like 3 am eastern time during adult swim's heyday in the early to mid 2000s. Used to swing by walmart while still wearing my house clothes/pajama pants just to get some minute maid, spicy nacho doritos, poptarts, and some sprite remix and get back just in time for more aqua teen hunger force, cowboy bebop, inuyasha, venture bros. and back to the xbox for more phantasy star online ep 1 and 2, return to castle wolfenstein, halo 2 or unreal championship 2.

Walmart will never go 24/7 again. They were actually losing money because of labor and shoplifters.

Walmart not being open 24/7 other than the millions of people dying, will be my greatest loss from COVID.

As a night shift work who is used to being awake the middle of the night, shopping at empty walmarts was always awesome.

I'm lucky enough to have a 24 hour Winco. Everything else went to reduced hours.

It sucks because that's when I did all of my shopping, I hate going when it's super busy.

GOT some Sunny D and some Lard, and a air fryer. I wish I could have done this at 3 am but it was too bad being out around people. I put my head phones on and listened to a podcast.

Lol thank you. It was a time when I then not too long ago graduated from HS in 2001 yet at the same time was just getting on disability during my adult years starting at around late 2003/early 2004 so I did not have a damn thing to do past 9pm. Just me and my brother (he just recently got back from the air force and was at that moment in time where his oldest son wasn't born yet thus maximum no-lifing alongside me) up all throughout the night with adult swim airing aqua teen, selab, harvey birdman, venture bros when it was just starting, first seasons of robot chicken and the boondocks when they started up in late 2005 and so on with one TV while I had my xbox hooked up on a 2nd one right next to it. He would take his own xbox and get it set up in the area where the family PC and whatnot was at.

I did play city of heroes and maple story on the PC for a bit, but man those nights of us chillin' on PSO ep 1 and 2, return to castle wolfey, halo 2, capcom vs snk 2 eo (had online play on the xbox and it was awesome), a little bit of soldier of fortune and the first rainbow six on OG xbox, and unreal championship 2 was so damn fun.

My best friend hooked me up with a network adapter for the PS2, so I was on that champions of norrath+return to arms, resident evil outbreak files 1 and 2, and that everquest online adventures (this game totally sucked imo though, lol) when they came out. After I was done with all the online gaming I'd just chill on whatever latest rpg or action game dropped on the PS2, box or mooching my bro's gamecube. Tales of the abyss was something I beat at like 5 am since I was a night owl.

But yeah we would just be grabbing whatever to eat since so many places was open 24/7 then. Either go to walmart and just grab the stuff I already mentioned or even if its like some bacon, eggs and strawberry eggos lol, or just go to huddlehouse (honestly I always liked huddlehouse more than waffle house. Love that big-ass huddle house waffle), ihop, mcdonalds, hell even our local hardees used to be open 24/7. This was back when hardees/carl jrs was way better....that philly cheesesteak thickburger was a menu regular.

I miss those days and would totally do it all over again if I could, lol.

It was also those awesome days when netflix was brand spanking new and crazy cheap as hell. So, so many older classic movies was there since the rights to put those shows put there was dirt cheap. No one knew what these new fingled movie streaming thing was so who gives a shit if my old classic is up there to watch on this unheard service for cheap? Hell I still have my netflix disc for the wii around here somewhere.
