If you watch the show on adult swim or Max ( i still hate the name change). You see this season main bad guy is Amanda Waller. Man of Steel had set up a potential arc where it was Superman vs the world. MoS asked a question, "what happens when there is someone with absolute power and how the world will react to it." And BvS kinda did answer it. But it felt very... conclusive. Like you didn't need anything after it. If Amanda Waller had been the main enemy. It could have been a series of bouts in several films.
