If you're talking about, "they," I believe that the Pyramids pre-date the Egyptians. Not saying it was aliens at all, just a previous advanced civilization

Okay real answer the Egyptian stonemasons we're a very powerful guild in the service (like everyone) of the pharaoh. They have their own pyramids, were paid a lot of money, and are buried less than a mile from the great pyramids iirc.

We also like to say it was slave labor, but that not true either. Ancient Egypt was simply extremely advanced until Christianity fucked it all up and the Islam finished the job a few centuries later.

No, the pyramids do not predate Egypt. Egypt predates the pyramids by thousands of years. The first pyramid was the great pyramid and the start of what's known as the 0 dynasty. Khafu? Was the pharaohs name? I forget his name exactly. His son's and grandsons built the other big ones there at Cairo.

Later they start building underground temples cause it's easier and cheaper and you can use the stones you mine to build municipal buildings and stuff.
