Not just Nickelodeon, of course, but I can't wait for the wacky special effects

(Also this can low key operate as a general NFL topic since we don't currently have one)

The broadcasts are actually very good at explaining football on a kid's level.

Not sure what the ratings are though.

Oh yeah, I dont figure football as a game too complicated for kids to follow. Its more Nicks average audience is probably a young enough age to not really care/have the attention span for something as long as a Super Bowl match

The ratings must be good enough if they're doing it for a Super Bowl

(Plus I'm sure they're trying to grow their audience with kids because kids are more likely to want football paraphernalia for a gift than adults are if they become fans)

Miami at 3?

I'll do this later. I've had the Jets going 10-7 which might be right around the cut line.

I think their midseason game against the Chargers ends up deciding which one makes the playoffs though so it'll probably all flip from just the one game.

I'm curious what I get

Miami has a really good team on both sides of the ball. Jalen Ramsey missing half the season will hurt, and of course you have to worry about Tua staying healthy.

But yeah, Miami has the talent to win the AFC East.

Miami can definitely win the AFC East. But I think the Bills retain it one more year.

I think the Jets miss the playoffs tbh. I don't think Rodgers is enough to get them where they need to be. But hey, it's possible I'm wrong.

Bengals seeding will largely depend on how long Joe Burrow is out -- if at all -- for his recent injury. If it's just long enough, I could see them not winning the division.

I'm surprised they didn't put the Super Bowl on youtube with all their youtubeiness this year.

The problem for the Jets is that they've got playoff talent, but they're still probably the third best team in their own division. Getting three teams from the same division in a loaded AFC will be tough, not to mention the East has to play the AFC West and the NFC East this year, which is rough.

Yeah, that's absolutely the problem. And it's also why I think it was silly for them to go all in on a QB who'll maybe last two years with the team. They need a long term solution, not a temporary bandaid.

I mean all it takes is a critical injury or two to the other teams and the Jets can rise to the top...as the Jets themselves learned last year when their season tanked after Hall went down.

All the jets need is for Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen to get injured and then there's a chance!! (I would add Tua, but let's be honest. That's not a stretch.)

I don't trust Tua to actually start all 17 games and it's why I don't trust Miami.

The Jets ceiling is 6/7 seed and a first round exit though. They'll start the year 0-2, be 2-4 at the bye, beat up a bunch of trash, and go 10-7.

The common mentality in NY media is the Jets are a failure if they don't enter the bye at least 4-2.. And I seriously wonder where they expect them to get those 4 wins.

Nationally though there's quite a lot of people predicting them to outright miss the playoffs.

They finished 7-10 with dumpster level QB play. Even if Rodgers is only average, he's a huge upgrade. So yeah, the Jets should be good, barring injury. Their defense should be great.

I wouldn't count them out against the Bills or the Cowboys necessarily. They beat the Bills in Jersey last year with Zach Wilson, and it's a divisional game so those often go weird ways. And the Cowboys had trouble with Aaron Rodgers last year. Those games are winnable, but it's a pretty difficult start with the Chiefs and Eagles in those first 6 games and the Bills and Cowboys too. I think their ceiling is still first round exit, though.

Through week 8, I have the Steelers and Bears as 7 seeds with 4-3 and 5-3 records. Interesting.

And I have the Saints leading the NFC South in sole possession of first place at 3-5.

And the previously questioned Dolphins as the 3.

Let's see how this shakes up.

Ok forget the Jets. I have them going 8-9!

I have the Bears in playoff contention the final week of the season, but being eliminated when Seattle beats Arizona.

Dolphins beat Bills early on, then Bills/Dolphins week 18 is for the division. Lions/Vikings week 18 is for a playoff spot, though both can make it with a lot of help.

1. Bills (15-2)
2. Chiefs (15-2)
3. Bengals (13-4)
4. Jaguars (11-6)
5. Ravens (13-4)
6. Dolphins (13-4)
7. Browns (10-7)
8. Steelers (9-8 again)
10. Jets (8-9)

1. Eagles (15-2)
2. 49ers (14-3)
3. Packers (12-5) (what)
4. Panthers (7-10)
5. Cowboys (13-4)
6. Lions (11-6)
7. Seahawks (10-7)

Time to get back to work but I did not expect to predict division winning Packers.

Colts, Cardinals, Commies with top 3 draft picks.
