No, doesn't matter that what they achieved isn't "real communism". It's the consistent outcome of attempting to implement "real" communism.

I don't think any system of government that does not attempt amends for colonialism and its effects would ever be sustainable and this ahistoric fanfiction flat out fails to even acknowledge it. About as shallow as Harry Potter.

Food rationed as per need same with fuel. You don't actually own anything. Communism is incompatible with freedom, liberty, and liberalism.

And then everyone else follows because they don't want to work either because they all get paid the same. The government wouldn't like this, so they implement 'encouragement programs' such as the gulag muhahaha.

It would function exactly like it does in China, there will still be the super rich who have ties in government and industries and then there's the communist ideals placed on everyone else. Oh and there are no government social safety nets either. so probably not too different from current America.

If AI takes over, wouldn't America be communist? Meaning, if AI takes over all the jobs, wouldn't Americans receive equal pay?

AI wouldn't necessarily mean communism. AI taking over doesn't innately change how society is structured.

Downplaying the mind bogglingly horrific way we turned other humans into capital by stacking bodies into ships isn't really a great look either. If we're gonna sort out economic systems by their propensity for violence, we need to lay all the cards on the table. We don't just get to sweep our past under the rug because it's the system that ended up winning out

Looks a little less bold next to someone not wanting to acknowledge that some nasty shit has happened under capitalism. I'm willing to and have acknowledged that people tend to suffer and die under communist regimes, but what's used as a criticism of communism can't be used a defense of capitalism. People who give a shit use that as reason to think we can do better than either.

Plus, you know this is a topic about a hypothetical communist America, right? There's no reason to speculate atrocities that communist America might have committed when we already know the ones Capitalist America did
