It's been almost 3 years and that for the most part, games have just been eh and few exclusives. You have a few gems like Spiderman, GoW for PS, and good Xbox exclusives are basically impossible to find. This generation just seems really bad. I jumped ship to pc in 2011 and never looked back. I don't begrudge anyone for their gaming platform of choice, but consoles just don't offer enough to justify having them.
