- work period is whatever you choose, so long as it's 8 continuous hours
- commute is 10 mins, taxi always available, free
- 40 min lunch break, free
- the job is whatever you want it to be, but it includes 1 hour of manual labor.
- No internet unless the job requires it. No gaming or social media.
- must work 365 days in a row in order to get paid, can renew every year.
- getting fired, being late, missing work, etc = lose

Absolutely a deal. I do it for one year and make nearly $1.5 million in the process (before taxes, I presume).

One rough year becomes enough money to live a much easier life from that point forward.

Yeah that's over a million a year before tax. I'd at least go a year and I'd even try to live at the place if I could so there's no commute.

Seems super easy, other than needing a year of savings to be able to take the job in the first place.

lol, too easy. I've worked 7 days and 90 hour work weeks quite often. 56 hours a week is nothing, especially for only a year.

1.4 million is more than enough to just never work again after.

Work one year then retire. Definitely worth it.

Well, maybe two or three years to really have enough money to enjoy it and retire.

Work one or two years, then I can just do any low paying job that I enjoy or even just work part time. Especially because I can spend 7 hours every day doing something I enjoy.

I would take this deal. I would probably do something like PC building/repair as it's pretty fun. I would do 11am-7pm which would still allow me to go out to bars at night and get plenty of sleep for the next day.

Wait, does this mean I get 0 money until the end of the first year? Cuz working a 56 hour a week job for no pay would make it pretty damn hard to keep a roof over your head and food until the end of that first year. Assuming you get a reasonable amount of money for living expenses then ya boi is working at least 1 year as a professional Twitch streamer. For the 1 hour of manual labor per day that would be the pre-stream workout to get in shape for streaming. I can do 7 hours of streaming a day, 7 days a week, without even breaking a sweat. Hell, I've done 12+ hour streams in the past for waaaay less money than $500/hour. The only reason I quit streaming was because the time/energy investment wasn't worth the maybe $100-$150/monthly I pulled in from it.

Id happily do a year. Maybe two, but most likely just one and be set.

This scenario reminds me of this story where this guy makes a deal with a Demon. If he could wear a smelly Bear skin for a whole year without taking it off, he'd get all the treasure he desires. But if he takes it off for any reason, the Demon gets his soul.

I saw a cartoon based on that when I was a kid. The man wasn't allowed to bathe himself or cut his nails, either.

Does it matter how good you are at the job? Like is there a minimum threshold of quality/quantity? I could just make my job to tape up boxes and make my quota 100 a day or something easy like that.

Like most, I did the math.
I'd do it for a year and then chill. Most of my family would understand. I'd take it sooner than later though cause emergencies seem to happen more and more as you get older

Imagine just being a film reviewer. Or writer. Or streamer. Or blogger.

I mean legit, being a writer is just waking up, procrastinating, and masturbating for 10 hours a day, and possibly getting a few words on paper.

That would be 54 hrs a week which is around or less what I usually work 5 days a week. So I wouldn't mind this actually. At least foe a few years.

Would 16 of those hours a week be overtime?
