Took that for themselves with the likes of Iron man and his most famous daddy issue, along with the rest like star lord and of course thor, even antman's wasp whose dad was antman himself in a bizarre twist.

So then instead, DC's haphazard DCU went scrambling with mother issues as well, with the famous "save Mothra" scene and Billy's mother abandoning him just cuz. Also Aquaman.
